ESOL classes for non-native adults at beginner and intermediate levels. Oral communication, basic writing, and computer literacy included.

Adult Basic Education, GED, College Prep, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Basic Literacy, Math Skills, and Writing Skills Development. Virtual and In-Person.
Interview skills, resume writing, soft skills development, basic computer skills, positive work habits, customer service skills, and professional expectations.
HHA/PCA Training, National Healthcare Association Certification (NHA), 8-Hour Security Guard Training, National Work Readiness, and Construction Skills Training.
Communication skills, goal setting, ethics and values, team work, interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, decision making, and anger management.
Every BRC program prepares students to take and pass recognized industry and state exams. Enrollment criteria vary, and Career Readiness is a prerequisite for several programs.
Prepares students for the NYS certification exam and NYS Home Care Registry. Covers anatomy, vital signs, patient care, and supervised clinicals.
Builds on CNA skills with EKG and Phlebotomy. Meets requirements to sit for the National Healthcareer Association CPCT exam.
Prepare medications, deliver customer service, and handle pharmacy administration. Preps students for the nationally recognized PTCB exam.
For detail-oriented students pursuing careers as medical coders/billers, records clerks, or insurance claims clerks. Includes Word & Excel.
NYS-approved program preparing students for the NYS Dept. of Health EMT examination. Includes CPR and defibrillation training.
Work with individuals who have mental illness or developmental disabilities. Includes SCIP-R, AMAP, CPR/First Aid. Driver's Ed available.

BRC is an experienced educational and employment community-based agency that contracts with entities to serve in-school and drop-out youth and adults. Our services include remediation and enrichment for students below grade level and advanced learners alike.
Our goal is to create a movement toward self-sufficiency through a unique delivery system that addresses the many barriers that impede the growth and success of our youth.

No. There is NO fee for GED classes.
No. There is NO application fee.
The passing score for each of the four GED subject tests is 145. The maximum is 200; the minimum is 100. The four tests are Reasoning through Language Arts (RLA), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
Official diplomas are mailed to examinees 8–10 weeks from the time of testing.

No. The photo and birth date need to match, but a different address is fine as long as you are a current resident of New York State.
Maximum Compulsory School Attendance Age (MCSAA) must be reached before a student can legally drop out of school and take the GED. This is reached on or after July 1st of the school year following when a student turns 16 or 17, depending on the district.
